Fresh Pots

There is nothing more beautiful than fresh pots off the wheel. How I wish I could capture the fresh look of clay once they are fired.
The most fascinating thing about pottery, is no 2 pieces are alike, ever. Next time you pick up a hand thrown piece, take your hand and feel the throwing lines. They are from the hands of the potter. We put a part of us, a spirit of creativity and a breath of life into each piece. I will take pics and post before and after.

This was taken while driving past Truman Lake. Not a bad photo considering we were flying down the road.

The Lord's Prayer

I found this tucked away on a hillside in West Virginia. It stands about 8 feet tall.

Unity Village

This is one of the most peaceful places I have found in a very long time. It's a place to come and drink in the beauty, there is a certain spiritual presence here. I love to go, "sit and just be" who I am, in that moment.
I always walk away feeling, "that all is well with my soul"

"Beauty is that which attracts your soul, and that which loves to give and not to receive. When you meet Beauty, you feel that the hands deep within your inner self are stretched forth to bring her into the domain of your heart. It is the magnificence combined of sorrow and joy; it is the Unseen which you see, and the Vague which you understand, and the Mute which you hear - it is the Holy of Holies that begins in yourself and ends vastly beyond your earthly imagination."
(K. Gibran)
